During my sophomore year, Mr. Oh assigned the class a project, which was to create our own government. Before being assigned the project, the class read the book 1984 which was about the government controlling their citizens by having them under surveillance. Mr. Oh assigned this project to us to see our perspective in how us as individuals will create our government. The requirements I needed to put in my project was what type of government my government would be and what my government would offer its citizens. For example, capitalism, communism, etc. The name of my country is Arila. In my project, I included the requirements that people needed to enter the country, how the education system will be, healthcare, and minimum wage. What I learned from this project is that people who migrate to other countries can be harder when they don’t meet the standards to be in that country. The GPO’s (Global Performance Outcomes) I meet in this project were Investigating the World. I did research on other countries like Denmark to investigate how their government would work for their country.
